The Summer Scholars Program

What to Expect

An 8 week course designed to prepare students for the upcoming year ahead. While students become engrossed in learning content, writing essays and solving complex equations during the school year, they are often underprepared for crucial elements of how to succeed in exam preparation and test taking.

❋ Intentional Structure

We deliver a sequential model with each week’s theme building on the previous week’s progress. This embeds the key principles which uphold successful exam performance.

❋ Collaborative Energy

The small group enshrines a personalised service, whilst fostering collective discussion between participants. Crucially, you learn from your peers as well as each week’s mentor.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Sessions led by experienced guides who know the pressures of taking the same tests as your child, and what it takes to succeed.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our program prioritises respect, learning and discipline with a surefire method for success. This allows students to show up exactly as they are and fully engage in the process.

Week One

Building a Notebase

Building yourself a notebase that works for your revision is the first crucial step towards exam preparation. This session deals with the most effective tried and tested methods. The journey starts here.

Short Introduction

19:00 - 19:05 pm

Group Activity

19:05 - 19:30 pm

Week Two

Time Management and Revision Timetabling

Most students don't lack time — they lack a system for using it. This week we build a revision timetable that fits around real life, balancing subjects, breaks and downtime so studying feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

Group Activity

19:00 - 19:30 pm

Week Three

Getting and Staying Organised

Scattered notes and missed deadlines quietly cost marks. We show students simple, repeatable ways to keep their materials, tasks and priorities in order, so they spend less energy searching and more energy learning.

Group Activity

19:00 – 19:30 pm

Week Four

Active Revision Strategies that Work

Re-reading notes feels productive, but it's one of the least effective ways to revise. We introduce proven techniques like active recall and self-testing that help information stick — the methods top students rely on without always realising why they work.

Group Activity

19:00 – 19:30 pm

Week Five

Beating Procrastination and Building Focus

Everyone puts things off — the skill is knowing how to start anyway. We explore practical strategies for overcoming procrastination, cutting distractions and building the kind of focus that makes revision sessions count.

Group Activity

19:00 – 19:30 pm

Week Six

Creating a Personalised Plan

Every successful term starts with knowing where you're heading. We help students set clear, realistic goals for their exams and turn them into a personalised plan they actually believe in. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

Group Activity

19:00 – 19:30 pm

Week Seven

Wellbeing and Study Balance

Doing well isn't about working every waking hour. We look at how sleep, breaks and a bit of balance actually improve memory and focus, helping students sustain their effort across a long revision period without burning out.

Group Activity

19:00 – 19:30 pm

Week Eight

Confidence and Motivation

The final week brings it all together. We look at how to stay motivated through the long stretch of revision and how to manage nerves so students walk into every exam calm, prepared and confident in what they've built over the eight weeks.
